For the early part of this coming week, as we move through the darkening last quarter of the Moon’s cycle, the energies are slow and yin-ward, perhaps rather dreary for some. These are the “dog days” of winter, seemingly endless days of darkness and cold.
But on Wednesday this coming week there is a shift, one that will bring more active energies, more of a sense we are moving forward, for better or worse.
On Wednesday February 18 there is a New Moon in Aquarius, beginning the lunar cycle that will lead us to the day of the Spring Equinox.
Also on the 18th the Sun moves into Pisces, which is the last sign the Sun moves through before it enters Aries at the Spring Equinox.
On the 19th Mercury gets back up to its normal Direct speed, signifying an end to Mercury Retrograde’s influence on our mind and lives.
And also on the 19th the Chinese year of the Sheep or Goat begins, a New Year for many east Asian inhabitants.
And also on the 19th Mars moves into Aries, the sign Mars loves to be in, where its active, forceful, initiating energies have a home.
So expect the coming week to bring stirrings of awakening and movement forward.
The New Moon in head strong Aquarius, and Mercury getting back up to Direct speed promise a clearer mind and a better sense of mental sanity. It is a good time for new ideas also and a time when thinking inventively will be rewarded. The Aquarius New Moon is also a time for greater social consciousness, group connections and global awareness.
Mars in Aries will be joined through conjunction with Venus in Aries late in the week, giving more impetus to fresh starts, fresh thinking, and a stronger sense of the great change coming our way soon.
Some people may already begin to feel the winds of Spring Eclipse Season 2015 blowing in this week or soon after.
Events in the news may also show us “previews” of what will blow up into bigger issues and events later.
In your personal life you may also begin to see the beginning seeds planted for what will more fully bloom in your life during the upcoming Spring Eclipse Season 2015.
But keep in mind, even as you get more energy for moving forward this week, that we have time before the intensity of transformational change truly erupts into our lives.
This waiting time is signified by the Sun moving into Pisces on the 18th. That Sun in Pisces, which lasts until March 20 at the Spring Equinox, brings us through a month of surrender to what is deeper than our waking mind can usually fathom.
Pisces, ruled by the God of the ocean Neptune, is best experienced while in the flow of life, allowing the tides and currents to take us where our consciousness needs to go.
We may need to experience some ghosts of the past so we can reintegrate that which we have left behind, and/or so we can better heal from wounds or traumas from our past during Sun in Pisces.
Our consciousness is getting prepared for the big changes coming soon.
And as Mars and Venus go into Aries this coming week, they are getting us closer to that change.
During the first half of March the last exact pass of Uranus square Pluto will be in the spotlight. Venus and Mars will trigger that square of these huge transformational planets in the first and second week of March, and then on March 16 Uranus and Pluto make that last exact square to one another.
And of course all that is followed by two very strong Total Eclipses relatively soon after.
It is most important now, if you are inclined to tune into world events, to watch what is stirring in the world.
Of grave importance is the potential nuclear deal with Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is speaking in front of the USA Congress on March 3. He did not appropriately consult with President Obama first and his message is very likely to be against making a deal with Iran.
President Obama, in trying to make this deal, in improving relations with Cuba, and in his comments of how the Christian Crusades rivaled in butchery with the ISIS atrocities, is moving in alignment with the New Age in Aquarius.
Equality and Diversity within Unity are in alignment with the Age of Aquarius and Obama’s recent activities.
President Obama, so connected with the soul of Abraham Lincoln, is beginning to listen to his “better angels” as his time as President is coming to an end.
The “power structure” of our world is changing now with the growth of China, Arab/Muslim culture, Brazil, and India, etc. Russia is having serious problems with the western world, and Europe with Greece’s recent election of a socialist leaning Prime Minister is facing severe challenges to its unity and economy.
And of course the USA is also going to be severely challenged with its economy also this year.
As we look out at our world, one that does not have in its mainstream a sense of holism, unity, interconnectedness, true spirituality, valuing of truth telling, honoring of the Earth and all its creatures as sacred, we can see a need for immense transformation into a new paradigm for thinking, relating and living.
We are all connected as one family of human and creature on Earth, and only with that deeper awareness can we hope to somewhat gracefully enter this Age of Aquarius.
So there is importance in finding common ground with Iran in this meeting of differing cultures. If we do not, we can expect world conflicts that will bring much misery to so many on the Earth.
In your own consciousness and life there is probably nothing more important than leaving a paradigm of superiority/inferiority, of some being innately better than others.
We may like our way better for us, but we must accept that not everyone is made the same way with the same cultural orientations or persuasions.
The whole world does not have to be governed by a democratic/capitalistic model for living.
Nor does the whole world need to be Christian or Muslim or Republican or Democrat or heterosexual or homosexual. And none is by nature better than the other. It is all in the “eye of the beholder”.
Yes we need to have a world of unity and all people have in common a need of safety, food and water, love, etc.
But we do not all have to wear the same “uniform'”. There are “many roads to Rome”, many faces of human or of the “god-force”.
Diversity within Unity is a big part of the new paradigm for living on Earth in an Age of Aquarius.
And for this week you can get your life motor running, revive your mental adeptness, and begin preparing your consciousness for great change ahead.
