We passed through the doorway into a new era at the Aries New Moon. For some the process has not been easy.
Often when we move into something new there is an Initiation period that puts “devils at our doorway”.
Our minds go over the past, regrets and grief, doubts and guilt. Nevertheless it is truly time to move forward now, so letting go of these “demons” in our mind is essential.
But with Mars going Retrograde on April 17 and Mercury going Retrograde on April 28 you may not feel fully activated and clear about your new world until June- or in some cases July.
For some the outer practical world has changed little, but they can feel the changes inside. You may be involved in the same habits as usual, but you do not feel safe and secure inside yourself. Reaching inside for “normal” is not easy anymore, because the old normal from the old era is gone. And there is no “new normal” that can be felt yet.
So we may have to push through the discomfort now and move forward anyway.
With this change into a new era there are feelings of getting older. And look around at how the kids from yesterday are adults now. Millenials are having an important imprint on our world in big ways now.
They are the first young generation in some time that feels they can change the world.
They vote for Bernie Sanders because they believe the economic structure that rules this world is unfair. They believe their future is rocky as a result of the inequities.
And this current election process for President of the USA is so different from anything in my lifetime. It truly makes me feel like the world is not what it used to be.
And if you feel that the world looks worse not better, remember that during this evolutionary process there will be energies that seek to slow us down and stay in the past.
The conflict now is beween energies of change and transformation, which are generally more chaotic, against efforts to dominate and control and keep the status quo.
That process is about to intensify. And as security is threatened ( through riots, terror attacks, etc.), more and more people will welcome attempts to bring order to the world.
And that is when there is a big problem. A dramatic comparison is the ’30s and ’40s when fascism got stronger in the face of a more chaotic world.
But remember that fascism was defeated and progress forward ensued. Now as European cultures are feeling invaded more and more, it is understandble how they want to put a lid on immigration. They feel their culture is being compromised. And they fear terrorism from new arrivals.
Yet progress forward into a new world means we learn to mix with other cultures and ways of living- Diversity within Unity. It promises to be a difficult transition- here in the USA also.
This coming week starts with Sun in Aries conjunct Uranus late Saturday the 9th. This aspect will bring strong desire to break outside the box of our minds and lives.
There is a feeling to be liberated from that which holds us back. This aspect also suggests that we stand up tall and empowered in our authentic truth. It is time to stand up for your self and be true to your Self.
Being true to oneself is not always appreciated in society or families that want everyone to wear the same uniform. One is made to feel selfish or self centered.
But if you are made a certain way by the Godforce, it is heretical in effect to not honor your Self. Your destiny is dependent on you honoring your authentic Self, as you have a purpose beyond being selfless and unselfish. Keeping you away from your Self is a way to control you and make you another robot in society.
Later this week, actually at the beginning of next week, Mars goes from Direct to Retrograde in Sagittarius. The date of the beginning of Mars Retrograde is April 17. It will stay Retrograde until June 29.
Mars Retrograde is a time to get more deeply in touch with one’s will and one’s assertiveness.
You will be able to take that time while Mars is Retrograde to dig deep inside your self to know what it is you want now, what you desire for your life.
You may seriously question what you have chosen in the past and the direction you have chosen now.
But remember that during Mars Retrograde it is not a good time to make any rash decisions or to do anything impulsive.
Even if it feels totally right to change directions, please wait until Mars goes back Direct before changing course. I have seen so many times that when it goes back Direct the person goes back to what they originally intended. The purpose of the questioning was to have a surety. Yet I have also seen people truly become sure their original choice was wrong after Mars goes back direct again. So just wait if you can.

We will also find the time to look at class members’ natal charts to see the natal dimensions of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in personal lives. And we will look at transits and times of change in individual participant’s lives as seen by the transits of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
