This week we experience an important turning point for our collective and personal Soul journeys.
The first part of this week we will continue to walk through the slowdown of the 4th quarter of a lunar cycle, a cycle that began July 2 at the Solar Eclipse New Moon in Cancer. The ride has been emotionally charged, especially considering family issues, but also the rights and empowerment of Women.
Since July 7, we have also been experiencing Mercury being Retrograde; and for many that has meant going back over issues that were thought dead and buried.
In that process, many have been questioning previously made decisions, viewpoints, and opinions.
Mercury Retrograde at times is like a mental rewind, a peering back into the past through our dreams, conversations, and waking memories.
This passing Mercury Retrograde has done its job if you have been loosening up on what you previously determined to be true.
And late on July 31 there is a New Moon in Leo while Mercury Retrograde grinds to a halt (is stationary), just as it shifts back into being Direct.
The Leo New Moon on the 31st gets our creative juices flowing, and begins to bring more fun and more hope into our lives.
But that Leo New Moon will also trigger the big egos of the world to come out and try to dominate.
Trump of course suffers from narcissism with his Leo Rising sign and most especially through his Mars in Leo conjunct that Ascendent.
A healthy Leo is open-hearted, shining a bright light of positivity, creativity, and fun.
Distorted and unhealthy, Leo makes everything centered around Her or His own Self.
The Leo New Moon from July 31 (at 11:12 PM EDT), will begin to trigger important events out in the world.
Swirling around in our collective consciousness since around July 2 at the eclipse: Trump’s potential impeachment; more culture war stemming from immigration and border issues; Iran being put into a hard core enemy slot by hard liners in the USA, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Israel, etc; democratic party debates on television; more strutting for power and control against China and Russia; and a bubbling (under the surface) economic crisis.
So as we transition this week out of Eclipse Season and Mercury Retrograde, we are as prepared as we can be for the events coming up soon in the world.
Mercury goes Direct on the 31st at 11:58 PM EDT. We have written in the past that a couple of days either side of Mercury changing direction, can be the most confusing time in the Mercury cycle.
I am sure you will remember the November 2000 Presidential Election Day in the USA, when Bush ran against Gore.
TV station announcers were going back and forth all night between declaring winner to be Bush and declaring winner to be Gore. This uncertainty about who won went on several weeks before Bush was declared the winner, with Supreme Court assistance.
That was of course a most exaggerated and dramatic showing of Mercury changing directions. It changed direction from Retrograde to Direct that Election Night. We are not expecting anything near that confusing, but I do suggest you take in the potential confusion that can accompany Mercury changing directions.
And with the New Moon in Leo only 46 minutes sooner than Mercury going back Direct, we can expect an unusual day or couple of days.
The Democrat Party presidential debates happen on the 30th and 31st of July as Mercury transitions into Direct. The Leo New Moon is in the evening of the 31st, just before Mercury goes into Direct motion.
We can expect communication miscues during the debates, some that will help determine who may eventually win. We can also expect surprising positive performances that will shake things up even more.
As there is the Leo New Moon on the 31st, we can expect those who naturally shine brightly from their hearts to do especially well. And we can also expect the biggest egos to come out during the debates this week.
Remember that though there is a fiery New Moon in Leo and Mercury going Direct on the 31st, it is not a time to go fast forward. Mercury needs a week or more back Direct before you can be assured of full clarity and direction to show.
And the Leo New Moon is only the beginning of the Leo lunar cycle. Get your motor running, let creative ideas in, but most importantly at this New Moon in Leo – Open your Heart up wider, which also opens intuitive knowing that the logical mind cannot find on its own.
On August 1 is Lammas, a sacred turning point in the year that our ancestors celebrated. It was a time to celebrate the harvest and also is a time half way between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox.
Feel the energy shifting this week, at mid week and beyond. Something will wake up inside, especially as you let your heart to open more, and to be more relied upon as you continue to go forward in your life.
If you miss magic being in your life, know that an open heart is more allowing of transformational energies to flow through your being. And that will bring the magic with it.
And often relationships seem to hold our hearts and souls captured, keeping us stuck and shut down.
But Venus in Leo square Uranus in Taurus this Friday August 2 shows some promise in opening stubbornly closed hearts. It also shows some promise in awakening in us the need and way out of old relationship patterns.
Mars in Leo the next few weeks will trigger events that are connected to what was happening in August 2017. That was the month that brought us the powerful Total Eclipse New Moon in Leo that travelled exclusively through the USA.
Go back to that time period in your life in order to better understand what may be happening with you now.
In the greater world, the Charlottesville tragedy revolving around white supremacy happened; as well as North Korea war blustering; and Middle East intensity. So be aware of the USA culture war; China and North Korea conflict with USA; and issues with Iran and Israel. Any or some of these issues will arise again before summer ends. Impeachment moves should get much stronger then also.
So overall, this week pushes us beyond and through what has been blocking our hearts and our movement forward lately. Much wants to open up and get moving. Holding on to the past will keep new energies and new events, and new people from coming through.
It is not easy to let go of the past in our hearts and minds- but memories will always be there for you.
