We have passed through the first of two eclipses this Autumn Eclipse Season. Intensity has dissipated for now, but the greatest intensity of this Autumn Eclipse Season is still on the way.
Leading up to the first eclipse, there was a building of intensity issues with the economy and in the Middle East.
In the USA there was a government shutdown and conflicts and fears triggered concerning the raising of the debt ceiling. Our country is in deep trouble politically and financially, yet just before the eclipse an agreement was made to open the government back up again and to raise the debt ceiling.
Of course everyone knows that this agreement was no real agreement on anything of substance. It was only a temporary reprieve until the country and its “leaders” have to get down into the real issues that need resolution. There is a wide disparity between the democrats and republicans as to how they each envision what it takes to build a healthy economy.
We are in for great turmoil and economic down slide before too long. Important issues cannot be put off much longer. We will likely be dealing with graver economic troubles as we get further into the Autumn Eclipse Season. Mercury is going Retrograde in Scorpio this Monday the 21st; then Uranus exactly squares Pluto on November 1; then there is a most powerful Hybrid Total Eclipse New Moon in Scorpio on November 3. And finishing things off, Comet Ison will likely be affecting us in Late November and early December.
Besides the economy, the Middle East also is still a focal point concerning transformation into the Age of Aquarius. It is true that a temporary resolution was found for Syria that avoided a bombing of the country, and true the USA and Iran are showing signs they want to work things out between them. But a war still rages in Syria, and animosities in the Middle East are still strong. Israel is not happy with the agreements; Egypt is still very volatile; Saudi Arabia is also not happy with the agreements; and Al Queda is a very real threat still.
I expect both economic and Middle East issues to resurface this autumn, with a potential for crisis. No matter what does or does not happen this autumn, the next 9 months or so, with the focal point being April 2014, we can expect many challenges, powerful world events, awakenings and breakthroughs in all our lives.
This coming week brings us Mercury going Retrograde and the Sun moving into Scorpio. The changing winds this week are shape shifting our minds and reality into deeper and darker shades.
Mercury goes Retrograde in Scorpio this Monday October 21 at 6:29 AM EDT. It will stay in Retrograde until November 10. During this time period our minds will change how we perceive our lives and reality. Just as we think we know what we are seeing and what directions we are going in, there may be a pull to pause and rethink.
It is best to navigate Mercury Retrograde by letting go of the need to “figure it out”. Take more time to reflect or meditate, to use your imagination, to be more intuitive, to go deeper into your mind or soul, and to allow process to work its way through your life.
Trying to hard to come up with a bottom line answer may be elusive at times, so trust letting life unfold before making any ultimate decisions on important matters. This shifting of the mental tides is why it is usually best to wait till Mercury goes back direct before making big decisions or signing important contracts. You may believe you are fine to go ahead with something important, but it is best, if at all positive, to let the process of Mercury Retrograde unfold and pass through.
Sometimes you have no choice but to decide or act on a given issue during Mercury Retrograde, in which case do not worry about taking the wrong action, as the timing has been out of your control and hence all can be considered “meant to be”.
People from the past also often come back to us during Mercury Retrograde, either in the flesh or in dreams or waking memory. Their “return” signifies issues that are currently swirling in our lives that need reminders of past patterns that can be linked to the current issues.
Sometimes Mercury Retrograde time periods feel like being dropped into a Twilight Zone in our minds, a shadowy journey through ghosts of the past meeting us in our present situations.
So if you are not holding on too tightly to anything in your mind, that is helpful during Mercury Retrograde. But keep in mind that this is not a time period of changing how you act. If you have decided, for instance, to move out of your current home or change jobs, DO NOT during Mercury Retrograde make up your mind for certain to change course and instead stay in your job or home. And do not act on it.
Instead let the whole retrograde time period play out and even wait a week or so afterward before finally deciding or acting out. The retrograde period may be meant to have you question your direction in life, but not NECESSARILY to actually change directions.
So it is important to not impulsively do anything for awhile. Let things play out as the winds may be shifting more than once over the next few weeks.
On Wednesday October 23 at 2:10 AM EDT the Sun moves into intense and passionate Scorpio. The energies are shifting from light and balanced to focused and intense.
People will begin to want to engage on deeper issues, no longer able to stay away from what has previously been swept under the rug. If you have held back your opinion or your needs, it will be easier for someone to push your buttons and get you aroused or upset.
Speaking of aroused, as we get more “real”and pulled to “get down”during Sun in Scorpio time, we also may feel more stirrings for sexual encounters. It will be more difficult to stay away from your instincts and passions.
In fact trusting your core instincts is important during Scorpio times. All of these Scorpio issues will begin to surface after the Sun moves into Scorpio this Wednesday October 23, but will be so much more powerful and explosive at and after the Total Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on November 3. If you are able to hold back the tide of powerful emotions before then, it will be most difficult to damn up those emotions then.
A hardcore Scorpio lesson is to not wait too long before expressing what bothers you. Use a safety valve to let out some of those emotions from time to time, as bottling them up creates monstrous emotions that can be quite “ugly” when unleashed later. Don’t stew in rage or jealousy or shame too long. Express and release before the emotions get too toxic from repression. Bottling them up also can cause physical and emotional problems.
In the greater world expect leaders and nations to be more real with one another. Civil diplomacy will be greatly challenged. Harsher words will be spoken. As we get closer and closer to the Total Solar Eclipse, intensity will greatly increase again, even greater than before the Lunar Eclipse of last week.
In your personal healing it will be a good time coming up, as Scorpio energies intensify, to face your inner shadows, express and release that which is ready to go. Do not hold onto patterns of thought or behavior that keep you trapped. I know it can be difficult to release even the most toxic patterns or people from your life. They feel secure in their familiarity, even if they are destructive to your heart, mind and soul.
You will get great assistance over the next month or so to “look these patterns in the eye” and then release and heal. And then you can be liberated and ready to move on.
