The last eclipse of Autumn Eclipse Season 2013 has passed. Mercury is mercifully going Direct this Sunday November 10 at 4:12 PM EST. Intensity should be subsiding. Clarity and direction should be forming soon. But the results and full ramifications of what was brought up during the last few weeks are still to be seen and manifested.
I know many of you are quite relieved as Mercury is going Direct, and it has been a most difficult Retrograde period for many because it was combined with the power of two eclipses and a Uranus/Pluto square.
Soon the dust will be clearing, however, and we will be able to take clear stock of our lives. Then new events will open up as a direct result of the shakeups from the last few weeks, and a new chapter of our lives will be more fully revealed and experienced as we release old beliefs and ways of being.
The Full Moon in Taurus next Sunday November 17 will bring some resolution. Then the New Moon in Sagittarius on December 2 will show us new inspirations, a renewed sense of meaning, and a desire for new life adventures. Comet Ison in late November and early December will likely awaken us to new truths and new ways beyond the old patterns and programmings that have held us back.
The last time a comet had a major effect on our lives was in March/April 1997. Comet Hale-Bopp was one of the brightest comets seen in the sky in modern times. It was estimated that 80% of Americans saw Comet Hale-Bopp. I was living in Santa Fe, New Mexico then and saw a very surreal flash of that comet back then.
Do you remember the mass suicide in southern California on March 27 1997, from members of “Heaven’s Gate” cult who believed their death would take them up to a ship right behind the comet?
Comet Ison will be at perihelion (closest to the Sun) on November 28. Comet Hale Bopp was at perihelion on April 1 1997.
A couple weeks before Hale-Bopp’s closest approach to the Sun, a phenomenal event happened in Phoenix Arizona. It was on March 13 and is called The Phoenix Lights event. It was a mass sighting of a UFO, a mass sighting by many of the residents of Phoenix who swear it was an alien visit. It was the largest sighting of its kind ever or since.
If Comet Ison is as bright and powerful as Hale-Bopp will it portend another mass alien sighting? Will it bring crazy human reactions? Will it herald some other revelation or awaken us to any other new truths?
Will it show us another spike forward in our current period of rapid human evolution and coming revolution? The Uranus/Pluto square, which on November 1 gave us its 4th of 7 passes, is a powerful symbol of the rapid evolution of consciousness we are collectively going through.
As in the ’60s and ’70s, which were ignited in large part by the Uranus/Pluto conjunction of 1965-66, we are moving through a time of great need to move beyond the strict programming by our families and cultures. That programming tries to put each of us into contrived roles and rules for living that lock our free spirits and free minds in chains.
Each time we encounter a powerful planetary time period, as we have been experiencing this autumn, we are given the opportunity to break more of those chains and to awaken beyond our stuck patterns of thought and behavior.
Yes sometimes the process is quite intense and painful, but that is because the blocks to our growth are so dug into our bodies and souls. The light of new consciousness fights to move through, but is met with the resistance of stuck energies. This inner battle brings us pain, disillusion, doubt, fears, and an ego that fights for its life to stay in control of our authentic soul self and its aligned destiny.
No matter if Comet Ison is a profound herald of new human horizons or is a big dud. Nevertheless, we are in a most powerful time of healing and transformation on Planet Earth for our human family. Next spring 2014, during our next Eclipse Season in April 2014, there will be a Cardinal Grand Cross that will include both Uranus and Pluto. This will be one of the most important planetary aspects of the next several years as this Grand Cross has the USA natal Sun of 13+ degrees of Cancer in the middle. Uranus, Pluto, Jupiter, and Mars will all be at the same degree of 13 in Cardinal signs Aries, Capricorn, Cancer and Libra.
This formation portends a most powerful transformation for the USA. And of course citizens all over the world will be greatly affected. The economy and the Middle East are such important ingredients in our world wide transformation now.
Right now, as I write this right before Mercury goes back Direct, Iran and the so called powerful nations of the world are in very intense negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. It looked like a done deal, but as Mercury is slowing down and about to change directions back to direct, there are blocks to resolution. Last minute doubts are surfacing, aligned with the fact that the planet of thinking and communication is shifting. Perceptions of the situation are shifting also. It may be days before full clarity is found.
And Israel is waiting for the dust to clear so it knows if it will be motivated to attack Iran or not. The next New Moon in Sagittarius could be a time of Israeli attack.
In your personal life, wait a few more days if possible, as Mercury gets back to speed, before taking any drastic action or decision. The dust of your mind is slowly clearing now, and soon you will know what you need to know.
Even then, this Autumn Eclipse Season will not be done yet. At least until the Full Moon in Scorpio/Taurus on November 17, and probably until the New Moon in Sagittarius on December 2, we are still in the wake of Autumn Eclipse Season 2013.
But there should be some relief of intensity and confusion by the end of this coming week.
Before that a renewal of confusion and emotional intensity could resurface, as the Sun trines Jupiter in water signs Scorpio and Cancer on Tuesday, and Neptune changes directions on Wednesday.
How much this will bring you confusion and difficulty and how much it brings you spiritual awakenings will be at least in part dependent on your ability to let go and surrender. That letting go will help you to go with the flow from the god of the ocean Neptune. If you instead push too hard or try too hard to “figure it out”, you may fall into emotional depths of fear or anger.
Surf your feelings this week and ride the natural flow. Continue to release old beliefs and patterns of thought and behavior that keep you stuck in low self esteem or expectations of failure or disappointment. Trust your deeper soul and the Universe to bring you just what you need to know and just what you need at just the right time. Get out of your own way and let life unfold.
