We are slowly leaving the year 2016 while we go through darker days leading to the Winter Solstice. People are now coming down from a very intense and tumultuous presidential election process. And the Obama Presidency will soon be in our rear view mirrors. That is very sad for many people.
So these events all tend to bring us to into deeper feeling states, a sense of endings, sadness, and grief. The movement toward Winter Solstice can also bring feelings of being alone, even if people are around.
A good way to handle these deeper feelings is to find time to let them in without distraction or judgment, to meditate, to be in nature, to watch a sad movie or listen to music.
If fear wants to enter your consciousness too during these times, do your best to let it go as fear can turn naturally sad feelings into darker emotions like despair.
You do not want to wallow in painful feelings at this time, but instead to listen to your soul and its needs for nurturance and love.
To counter the endings and dark days leading to Winter Solstice, we just experienced the New Moon in Sagittarius, and we are hopefully feeling some joy getting ready for the Holidays.
New beginnings happen as we gradually turn to more light after the Winter Solstice, and we also bring in a new year 2017, and a new government administration with a new President.
Yes we will be entering a whole New Chapter of our lives, which would be happening no matter who became President.
The changes over the next several years will be dramatic, as we cannot have the transformation we need without such deep change.
How can we enter an Age of Aquarius with such distrust of one another, such control of our lives by the Military/Corporate/Governmental system?
As we have written before there is a groundswell of movement toward more nationalism, a tighter sense of national identity, a keeping out of immigrants and those who are different or alien.
Would it not be a perfect lesson for us all if extraterrestrial aliens made a showing on our planet for all to see? This would likely join all those who are earthlings in family, no matter race, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation.
This could happen over the next several years and would be a great trigger of transformation into the Age of Aquarius, into a world of Diversity within Unity.
During the Obama years there was movement toward accepting greater unity between countries like with the Iran deal and the openings with Cuba.
There was the movement also toward more inclusion within the USA as marriage rights were legalized for gays and lesbians.
But our internal divisions were also highlighted as we saw African Americans still looked down upon by some in society in the form of some police brutality and murder.
The hatred and brutality toward the police and hence society was then seen in subsequent attacks and killings of them.
And then the Presidential Election process showed us how much more work needs to be done before we have a unified yet diverse nation.
This movement toward nationalism now seems to me a backlash against the perceived globalism and inclusiveness of the Obama years.
Were middle and lower income USA- mainly white citizens- left out of the inclusion? They seem to feel that way from evidence in the election process?
Has a unified world been happening too fast for some, as they fear “globalism” and a dissolution of some people’s and culture’s core identity?
Is nationalism a natural movement now to reclaim that core identity for Europeans and others? Is that nationalsim, defined for some by keeping people from different cultures, like Muslim- out of countries?
Or is this nationalistic movement a dangerous backlash that will hold back the tide of an Age of Aquarius?
Perhaps the colonization of other countries and cultures by European countries and cultures has caused hatred and rage. The domination of Native cultures and the slavery of Africans is part of this hatred and rage. Standing Rock in the USA is a good example of the lingering effects of this domination.
Do you believe we can find a healing between the dominators and dominated? Have not all cultures and countries at one time or another been the conqueror or the victimized?
Is not the real issue – that all of us are living under a toxic paradigm that creates enemies and perpetrators and victims? That promotes competition for resources and a world of haves and have nots?
That sees some as winners and privileged, and some as losers who are fated to accept much less?
Does this paradigm not also encourage humans to think of one country or religion or person as superior, while another is less or inferior?
To truly evolve into a world of Diversity within Unity there can be no such belief system, but instead one that values equality and honors the intrinsic value of one as worth as much as another.
We will need very big and important events on this Earth to shake up the old paradigm and open the portals into the New Age.
And the Trump administration and Brexit and the nationalistic movements now in places like France and Italy- will bring with it the conditions that will help with the breakdowns and breakthroughs that are necessary to transform into an Age of Aquarius.
No it will not be all be pretty and it will often look as if we are going backwards; but somehow we will learn we are all one family, diverse but unified.
And this week shows us the downs of the darker days and the ups of a Sagittarius lunar cycle, especially so now as we are in the waxing half of that cycle.
Also on Wednesday the 7th Venus leaves upright and accomplishment oriented Capricorn for unusual and socially conscious Aquarius. It is time to loosen up in your heart and in your relationship orientation.
On the 9th and 10th the Sun sextiles Jupiter, then conjuncts Saturn.
It is time to marry or integrate your positive outlook and your more realistic assessment of what is possible.
