We are moving downward, inward and yin-ward this week as we experience the waning last quarter of the lunar cycle.
Overnight from the 7th into the 8th of December, the Sun in Sagittarius squares the Moon in Virgo. That begins the last quarter of the lunar cycle that began at the Scorpio New Moon on November 18.
Then on December 18 that lunar cycle ends at the usually uplifting Sagittarius New Moon.
Later that week, on the 21st, the darkest day of the year brings us to the return of more light on Winter Solstice.
Then on December 22 Mercury goes back Direct.
So the week of the 18th brings a much needed turning point of new beginnings and a deeper sense that the glass of life is half full, not half empty.
The celebration of the birth of new hope that week extends its reach to Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve and day.
In contrast, this week December 10- 16, continues the drop into darker days and feelings.
The process of transformation shows us shedding the skins of the old Chapter of our consciousness and life. And that process also shows us the light of our new world, the birth of a new way.
As we shed old skins we can feel the truth of death, carried by the coffin of our old ways, beliefs, and life.
The dark phase of the last quarter moon; the last phase of the darkening solar light before Winter Solstice; the last part of Mercury Retrograde, and the last part of 2017 all come together now.
The past may be flashing before your eyes now, allowing you to say goodbye, to grieve, and to purge and release.
As you look out into the dramas of our society, know that there is not only an old year and old chapter dying, but an over 2,000 year old Age is coming to an end too.
The dysfunctional and toxic old paradigm beliefs encourage us to see everything in win/lose, perpetrator/victim, predator/prey, survival of the fittest , “get what you can for you and yours” ways.
As we learn to truly listen to each other from our open minds and hearts, while at the same time holding our own integrity and values, we come out of that old programmed paradigm. Finding the connections lights our new path.
Open minds search for truth, each person’s truth, and thus the potential for some kind of agreement. Open hearts have love guiding them to the threads of connection between everyone and everything.
And self acceptance, self honoring, self worth, self love, and self empowerment, allows each of us to be the best we can be in all endeavors and relationships. It also helps us to not give ourselves away as a sacrifice to the worst in others. Self loathing enables the worst behavior in others.
Evolution will not be stopped. The dinosaurs among us are screaming and fighting to be able to live in the old ways, and take me and you with them.
We enable them if we stay in awe of those who have celebrity, wealth, and privilege.
Donald Trump show us the results of keeping that old belief system of some being superior to those who must be their inferiors. And of course those superiors deserve the privileges of having more too.
The cream does not rise to the top of that old world, the crud does.
Release, release, release this week; surrender to the Universe and your soul’s wisdom. Let it end, whatever needs to end. Do not hold onto any security blankets that keep you clinging to what you no longer really need anymore.
Trust that the Soul’s and Universe’s process will bring the birth light at the right time and in the right way.
This week, as we move down into more endings in the last quarter of the lunar cycle with Mercury still Retrograde; we also experience Mars leaving Libra and entering Scorpio on the 9th.
It will stay in Scorpio till January 26, just before the first of two eclipses, a Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Leo.
As Mars leaves Libra for Scorpio, voices and attempts at temperance and civility will be less respected and heard in much of the greater world.
More hawkish elements of our governments will want to dominate more. Power struggles will get more fierce. Remember the best of Mars in Scorpio is power serving a greater cause. And love is the greatest cause.
Stay in your loving heart. Empower yourself from that place. That brings a power that can change the world in the best of ways.
And in early 2018, as the next Eclipse Season opens up new portals of truth and love for those aligned and centered to receive; waves of change will be larger and encompass more.
The Solar Eclipse New Moon in Aquarius on February 15 will bring a strong wave of the Age of Aquarius through community uprisings and attempts to overthrow those in power who are leading us backwards. Impeachment voices should be getting much stronger then.
Administration attempts to distract our attention through world conflicts will be stronger then too.
Jerusalem has been added to the Koreas as a world hot spot. Trump stating that Jerusalem is the sole capital of Israel is inflaming so much of the Arab and Muslim world.
Countries in the Middle East and all over the world are picking sides now. World conflict is inevitable now.
The chaos will bring with it more ability to release and purge, more openings for the new world to come through.
The old programming is leaving the consciousness of each of us and though it has given us a distorted sense of security, it has also brought damage to our hearts and souls, our free minds and spirits, our sense of connections with each other and all life.
Our spiritual potential will get stronger and stronger, as will creative power, magic, and synchronicity,
New voices and leaders will emerge. The Age of Aquarius will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes of our old paradigm and Age.
As you release and let go this week, keep in mind that Mercury is still Retrograde. It is Ok now to question what you have already chosen and the direction you are moving in, but do not act on that yet.
Wait till after the 22nd when it goes back Direct, and wait for the turning points later this year that will shift your perception to life’s half full viewpoint.
