Full Moon in Scorpio and Astrology Forecast May 7-13

The relational planets Mercury and Venus will be rather comfortably back Direct this week. Relational issues should be better defined, and direction easier to discern.
I know that while Mercury was changing directions last week back from Retrograde to Direct, for some that meant some confusion or craziness. Mercury is known as a trickster planet, and it can be at its trickiest when changing directions.
We are certainly in a whole New Chapter of life, the election of Donald Trump making that fact more obvious.
So many people are divided from one another, not seeing the connections very easily anymore. Yet at the same time, the connections are there if you are in the proper head and heart place inside your self. In fact energies that bring everything together are stronger than ever.
At the same time, a large group of people are taking walled-in sides against one another, see others as foes or enemies, or at least see others as “those people”: democrats versus republicans; America versus North Korea or Russia or Iran; women versus men; Judeo-Chrisians versus Muslims; whites versus blacks; hetero versus homosexual, etc.
Perhaps we should have night fight day or cold fight hot? If you look at a ying/yan symbol you will see opposites of black and white joined together in a circle.
This is how it is meant to be. Opposites are part of the same whole. There was a time when democrats fought republicans for what they each thought was right and best for the country.
But they still knew they were both together as Americans wanting to do what is best for the community.
Now these groups no longer seem connected in the circle. They represent two cultures at war with one another, and as a result very little gets accomplished for the best of the people of this country and world.
The Civil War was a time when two very different American cultures went to war with one another, as there was no connecting bridge between them.
And so much in America and in the greater world is that same way now. So much seems to be falling apart as a result.
Yet ironically the spiritual movement toward connection of all is at its strongest. More and more people are waking up to the knowing of that circle that connects us all.
Still there are wide differences of opinion and ways of life, but the knowing we are nevertheless joined as one whole family is keeping the circle from splitting apart.
Empathy is the most important quality needed to keep the circle intact. When we only focus on ourselves, without also feeling where someone else is at, we break the circle.
That does not mean you give your self away or make your needs less importnant than someone else.
Instead you keep your individual integrity while realizing someone else is different and needs different things. Even if you cannot live with a person anymore, you still recognize they are not wrong- just different.
If we keep seeing everything from a winner/loser or superior/inferior or ultimately judgmental view, we break that circle and create a drama that makes everyone miserable.
Sports is a good outlet for winner/loser contests and dramas, but everyday relationships are a really bad way to have competitions or wars.
It is true that sometimes Scorpio or Aries energies are prone to go there, but it does not have to become a “fight to the death” battle between people. Hash it out intensely, but come back to the circle of connection at least inside your self.
At the same time, don’t let that empathic connection to that other person change your resolve for independence or empowerment.
Every important realtionship in our lives came to us for a meaningful reason. When we have to let each other go, that original meaning is a connecting thread between you- even after you part.
That sense of meaning brings the circle together.
This week there is a Full Moon in Taurus/Scorpio on Wednesday May 10 at 5:42 PM EDT.
This annual full moon is called the Wesak Full Moon. Some say it reflects when the Buddha was born.
At its best the Sun in Taurus represents solid, secure, comfortable calm. At its best the Moon in Scorpio represents depth of feeling, insightfulness and passion.
At its worst Taurus represents stubborn holding on, greed, and lack of passion; while Scorpio at its worst represents rage, insane jealousy, and vindictiveness.
Inside yourself this Full Moon will best serve you if you are able to find a balance between passion and calm, between powerful emotion and rock solid groundedness.
This full moon sometimes brings with it tugs of war between people, and sometimes it brings up issues of money or other resources.
This full moon has some potential also to shake things up as Mercury conjuncts Uranus in Aries and the Sun trines Pluto the day before.
This full moon also has the potential to bring some magic and otherworldly elements as Mars squares Neptune the day after the full moon. Life may also feel out of control or confusing the few days surrounding these events.
On Friday May 12 Mars trines Jupiter. This is a good time to get new ideas, to be inspired, to talk things out.
There may also be a tendency to talk alot or take in an overwhelming amount of information.
Let spirit take you but do your best not to leap before you look.
Remember again that our individual lives want to change and transform, as our global world is transforming also.
Stay aware of what needs to be released in the process of change, and what you need to hold onto, if you can, for the sake of some stability.
Winds of change will pick up appreciably this summer, so allow yourself some flexibility so the Universe can more gracefully move through you in ways that are needed.
