It is Sun in Virgo time of year, the transitional last month of summer before Autumn Equinox. It is apt that at Virgo time of year school starts up again, as Virgo represents the need for “getting it together”, getting to work, and putting order in our lives. It is time to at least begin to think about what needs to be repaired or fixed or healed.
Virgo is the Virgin, which is not directly related to sex. Astrologically it is more about wanting purity or perfection. And Virgo is great at finding what is impure or “what is wrong with this picture” in order to know what needs to be fixed to make things more pure or perfect. It has a most critical eye, a talent for discrimination and discernment. It often is most critical of itself, and can obsess on some fault or actually can obsess on most anything it puts its mind to.
Virgo needs order and simplification, and can be incredibly efficient. As an earth sign, it likes to keep things “close to the ground” and does not like emotions or spirits or ideas to be out of control or “flying too high”.
It is skeptical by nature, in its head, and is good at analyzing and intellectually processing. From that place it can get very locked in to what it is thinking about or focused on.
Virgo is also a mutable sign, and can be lead by others, not usually wanting to take charge or push anything. It instead can be satisfied being of service and doing what needs to be done.
Virgo comes right after dramatic Leo, so instead is learning to be humble and not ostentatious. Leo roars and Virgo is best being modest and “low-key”.
Please do not look for all Virgos to be tidy and neat. All Virgos have a need for order, but this can come in varied ways, like mental order or not having any chaos or emotional upset. Sometimes the need for order is so strong inside them, that they need to let go and let life be “messy” instead, in order to take the pressure off.
So as you get in touch with the need now to put things in order, to get back to school or hard work again, keep in mind that it is still summer and we are still within a Leo lunar cycle, still needing to enjoy summer and have fun.
After September 5, when the Moon joins the Sun in Virgo for a Virgo New Moon, we then get more fully engaged with getting down to work or school, getting our lives simplified, fixed, and put back in order.
There is a major storm of life intensity coming this Autumn in our personal lives and in the greater world. Much will shake up again as we experience another Eclipse Season in October/November, another Uranus/Pluto exact square, Mercury Retrograde, and the appearance of Comet Ison in late November. That comet may be a bright light in the sky and another harbinger of meaningful change, or it could turn out dim and be a dud.
Nevertheless, those other planetary events promise a most powerful, transformational, and meaningful Autumn Season.
In fact the second Eclipse of the two this autumn is a hybrid Total Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, to be seen on the eastern seaboard USA, in southern Europe, the Middle East, and much of Africa. Those regions, therefore, may also feel more of the intensity on an energetic and transformational level.
For now, however, life energies should be beginning to settle down this week and have less intensity, generally speaking. The Sun in Virgo makes opposition to Neptune Monday/Tuesday, suggesting we let go and trust, even while we are trying hard to figure things out or make them work right.
Mars leaves “feelings” oriented and family focused Cancer for fun loving and creative Leo on Wednesday/Thursday, where it will stay until mid October. Open up your creative energies and projects, and let your heart’s intuition lead your way more.
Big egos on the world stage will show off their imagined “royalty” and superiority during this Mars in Leo time period and drive world events.
Make no mistake about it, world leaders from the western world are getting ready to militarily engage in Syria. The USA has sent war ships today to the shores near Syria. They will be slyly setting us all up for military involvement in Syria. Remember Iraq and weapons of mass destruction, which did not exist?
Now it is chemical weapons being used by the government of Syria. They are setting us up again for war. If chemical weapons are indeed being used, there is evidence they are being used by all parties involved. And this is a most complicated conflict, with many Middle Eastern countries, western powers, and Russia all strutting for positions of power in this prized geopolitical spot on the Earth. The instability also in Egypt and elsewhere since the Arab Spring promises powerful change in the Middle East and the world
We are moving into a dark cocoon of turmoil, which will eventually birth a butterfly of an Age of Aquarius.
Meditate and pray this conflict can be as tempered as possible, and that lessons will learned sooner than later, paving the way for a more graceful healing crisis for our human family here on Earth.
From late September through November the emotional and energetic levels of intensity will increase exponentially, especially in late October and November.
This means each of us will be challenged to stay on our soul path, to be present, to be aware of where the Universe is asking us to be open to healing and transformation in our consciousness and lives.
Sometimes what is mostly going on is not necessarily about making major life moves, but more about shifting the patterns. We are sometimes so controlled by our early programming, by the wounds, traumas, and abuses from our lives. These transformational times can bring us to the core of these traumas and programmed patterns, and in the process of exposing the wounds again, in sometimes new forms, we are given the opportunity to make deep change, experience deep healing, and be “reborn” into new ways of thinking, feeling and experiencing.
From these new places in our consciousness and souls we sometimes require new relationships or careers or homes, etc. But often all we need is to be liberated from the stuck places in our minds and hearts, so we can live more healthy and whole lives.
