This is Easter holiday weekend for most Christians around the world and Passover for the Jewish people in the world. And now with Covid as the major focus for most people all over the world, Easter and Passover promise to be different than usual.
Mainly that is true because families may not be able to be together, as is usual for Easter, as stay at home “orders” will be respected by many if not most people in the world..
Hypothetically, if the “powers that be” in our world wanted to have a vulnerable frightened world citizenship to dominate and control, circumstances now would be quite favorable for them.
For the most part, people are “sitting ducks” now. But of course believing that would be paranoid, wouldn’t it?
On the other hand, this virus is providing many gifts to our human family here on Earth.
We are being “forced” to stay home and not be so driven to accomplishing and getting things done as usual. This time at home is helping some to develop new habits of meditating and exercising, etc.
And if you live with someone who also needs to stay home, you have a much better opportunity now for closer intimacy.
And of course being at home so often can give a person time to gain greater perspective and deeper insight into one’s life.
A good portion of Americans, I believe, have been programmed by culture and family to have love conditional on meeting certain standards. Getting things done, making big money, accomplishments, etc are criteria for receiving love.
Just Being your self, with no accomplishments or successes, is not conducive to being loved for so many people.
Just Being your self and receiving Love is only meant for infants and very young children it seems.
Look at Trump and all his bragging and strutting and lying . He does all that because he feels he needs to be the best, really special in order to be loved and respected. Probably a Father wound is the culprit.
That is how narcissists are created. Underneath all the bravado is a little boy who suspects he is a loser in his Father’s eyes. And early on he develops drastic compensation behaviors in order to get that love he desperately wanted and did not get.
Even becoming the leader of the most powerful country in the world cannot fill the hole of being unloved that sits inside him.
Having compassion for him is good. But this does not mean one should feel sorry for him. Every “villain” is the world, Hitler or Manson, etc. has a sad story from childhood.
Every man who beats a woman has had a childhood that can explain how he became such a monster.
But so many people have had the same kind of experiences or worse, and yet they become kind people, and often the best healers in our community of humans.
I am not comparing Trump to those “villains” in the human historical script, but nevertheless the path to being a certain kind of person has similarities.
Understanding someone helps us to not demonize, helps us to finding solutions to some of humanity’s old toxic dysfunctional patterns of behavior, But it does not condone or take away a person’s responsibility to being held accountable.
Christ’s lessons for having compassion for those who are the least lovable should not be lost on us.
By taking “Demon” off another’s face, we are transforming out of the “black or white” consciousness that gives only two options: hating the horrible person or feeling sorry for the victimized person.
Transformation in this case brings us deeper insight and greater understanding. That will assist us in using clear sight, mind and heart in order to transform our consciousness aligned with a new world and Age.
This week, which is after last week’s Full Moon in Libra, brings us through a darkening lunar phase.
In fact, the 4th quarter of the Moon’s cycle begins on Tuesday the 14th, with the Moon in Capricorn square the Sun in Aries.
Aries wants to push forward fast, while Capricorn is more cautious. A current dilemma needing to be solved now fits that lunar message.
The decision to be made soon- is to either go beyond the stay at home rules in order to open up the economy; or on the contrary to wait longer in order to avoid potentially even worse conditions for the virus.
That decision is so important now.
There will be much powerful energy attached to that 4th quarter Moon, as the Sun will make exact square to the recent Jupiter conjunct Pluto aspect from last week. That happens on April 14/15. Both Jupiter and Pluto will be triggered by that Sun in Aries.
Jupiter takes the high road of positive expectations, while Pluto takes the low road of being in touch with the pain and suffering that can result from the lack of caution.
Trump calls it the most important decision of his life and I can see why, on so many levels.
This week, we will be staying in the downward trek of the 4th quarter Moon awaiting the new beginnings of a new moon.
That new moon is next week on April 22, the New Moon in Taurus.
Remember that Aries gets the ball rolling, starts the process, just as the Aries beginning of Spring shows us buds coming through to begin forming growth of leaves on the branches.
Then in May Taurus Time, Spring time truly manifests as full blooming.
Moving forward with new ideas happens in Aries. Then the “fixed earth” Taurus makes manifest, and then stubbornly will not budge from what has been made manifest.
