By the end of this week tides of our consciousness and lives will be shifting. This is not a huge shift, but a discernible one, an appetizer before a feast of change this Spring 2014.
For the first few days this week we are in the waning darkening Moon days of the lunar cycle. Energies are moving yin-ward, slowing down the pace of action.
Then on Thursday January 30 at 4:39 PM EST there is a New Moon in Aquarius making close aspect to its “ruling” planet Uranus. People and events that may seem out of the ordinary may be coming closer. You may begin to feel that you do not want to do what you should, what you feel you normally do.
Aquarius takes us outside of confining boxes and seeks to liberate our minds from conventional rules and limitations. We seek to express our individuality, our differences, our uniqueness.
At the same time we look for our “birds of a feather” connections, our family members beyond blood bonds. We move also beyond our ego’s need to be better or worse than others, and instead seek equality, social consciousness, and a greater sense of community.
We question authority figures and the rules and regulations of conventional society that limit our ability to be free and squash our more idealistic principles.
We let you know last week that the economy would now begin to reverse itself and that the agreements in the Middle East would begin to unravel. The stock market suffered big losses at the end of last week, and the Syrian and Iranian agreements began to show signs of trouble.
Reversals will continue and what has been expected will not show up. Be prepared for the first signs of the old world rules and controls to be challenged.
In addition to the New Moon in Aquarius on January 30, we will have an exact Jupiter/Pluto opposition on January 31. This is a most potent and potentially explosive planetary event. Its energy and the possible events associated with it may be experienced days before the 31st. World events may be powerful and unexpected.
This Jupiter/Pluto opposition is part of the Cardinal T-Square that is closer in aspect this week. Uranus in Aries completes this T-Square, and adds the element of surprise.
Also on Friday January 31 Venus in Capricorn will be changing back to Direct after almost six weeks of being Retrograde. This Venus going back Direct is also part of the Cardinal T-Square, adding a more complicated and transformational tone to our relationships.
Whatever has been shaking up and changing in your relationship life, which can be important relationships of any kind, will be seeking some resolution and clarity now. Venus is in Capricorn and Capricorn wants things to be defined and set. Though Venus going Direct seeks some resolution, the fact that Venus will be in “slo-mo’ for awhile and will still be in the T-Square for several days suggests that full and complete resolution will still take more time.
Many of you have been finding that memories of the past in relationships have been in the spotlight these last several weeks. Memories have been surfacing through dreams or daydreams or actual in person reunions with people from the past. People we have loved may have left out lives and others have brought us back to old relationship patterns we may have thought we moved beyond.
Venus also rules our sense of well being, security and money issues. So these last several weeks may have brought back financial concerns and concerns about security and stability.
Therefore as Venus goes back Direct this week, we may not only have found some resolution to relationship issues, but also some attention to resources, money, and security.
There is a sense of new beginnings this week, with the New Moon in Aquarius and Venus Direct. And these new beginning may have an intensity and passion as Jupiter opposes Pluto.
These events come toward the end of this week, and another event that suggests new beginnings is right after the New Moon in Aquarius. That event is Chinese New Year, this year being the year of the Horse, the Wooden Horse. This suggest the year will be about adventures, especially adventures brought from interaction with nature.
And next Sunday February 2 is Imbolc or Candlemas or Groundhog Day. This is approximately half way between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It brings rising hope for Springtime. This is also for many traditionally a time of spiritual initiation, and a sighting of light at the end of the tunnel of darker soul times.
So these coming days bring with them a sense of renewed hope and new beginnings, especially for those who have recently felt trapped in their lives or in darker inner feelings.
You can now begin to feel there is a way out, but you may need to see beyond black and white duality thinking. There are always solutions, but now these solutions are possible by thinking outside the boxes in your mind. Many of those boxes have been programmed by society or family patterns. Awaken your free mind and go straight to the Universe’s web of information and knowledge.
This knowing may come in the form of synchronicity or signs and symbols, or intuitive thought, or even from searching the internet. You are only trapped by the prisons in your mind and heart. The programming you have had pounded into you and the traumas that have previously closed your heart can be moved through so you can trust again.
It is that trust that will help you to see with all new eyes and be open to new ways of being. That trust is not of other people, but of your self and the Universe. That trust in your self and the Universe will then translate into trusting your ability to draw to your self those who are best for you and your soul’s journey.
