This week we begin to swim through deeper and darker soul waters- before we will experience an important New Moon next week.
The deeper waters will begin to open up Saturday October 22 at 7:46 PM EDT as the Sun moves into Scorpio.
On the same day the last quarter Moon in Cancer takes us into finishing up the lunar cycle that began at the Libra New Moon of September 30.
A Libra New Moon is the first new moon of Autumn, and brings us the beauty of a metaphoric sunset.
The first part of Autumn shows us trees with vibrant colors and in many places relatively comfortable weather and temperatures.
Then after the Sun moves into Scorpio we begin to feel more deeply the darker and colder days that lead us into winter.
Scorpio is ruled by the planet Pluto, known mythologically as the guardian of the underworld.
That underworld is sometimes referred to as Hades, a place where we experience more primal passion. Of course mainstream society and religion have demonized this instinctual place inside each of us.
Libra represents a civil way of relating. Scorpio takes us into our deeper feelings that are more raw and real.
There is no attempt to refine our expressions with Scorpio, and instead it helps us to express our feelings that are more connected to our deeper truth.
This more primal expression can often cause emotional confrontation with others as we stop holding back what we are really feeling.
Therefore Scorpio can bring up what has been suppressed and even repressed sometimes.
Of course the longer something has been held down, the more powerful is its expression when let loose.
After the Sun goes into Scorpio this year, as the 4th quarter Moon begins, you will tend to go down deeper into your soul.
But the outer expression of the inner turmoil may wait until the Scorpio New Moon.
That Scorpio New Moon is Sunday October 30 at 1:38 PM EDT.
That Scorpio New Moon will soon be followed by Halloween/Samhain and even deeper spiritual realities will then be unearthed.
And not long after that the Election will be held on November 8.
I know it seems as if the worst nastiness has already been spit out; but with Scorpio Sun and especially New Moon in Scorpio on the way, things could get even more ugly.
Please realize that in more healthy people Scorpio represents a compassionate connection to those who suffer, an expression of deeper truth, a wide open third eye chakra, and the transformation process of death and rebirth.
But expressed in a toxic old world filled with toxic people, there is much mean spiritedness, demonizing, and obsession with getting revenge and destroying others.
For most of you this Scorpio time will allow you to express your deeper more instinctual truth and to empower yourself.
It will help you to release stuck emotions and dysfunctional patterns, and to go more deeply through the transformational process.
Perhaps it will get ugly sometimes between people, but that can bring about a catharsis followed by deeper connection between them.
Scorpio time of year can also bring each of us into what inspires our passion, and more deeply into our sexual nature too.
This week there may be a feeling of “coming down” and experiencing deeper truth inside, as we prepare and get ready for an important renewal at the Scorpio New Moon on October 30.
On the 28th/29th Mars will square Uranus, which may give you a “wake-up call” and help you to get out of stuck places and patterns.
In the greater world there could be some real surprise events or previously locked secrets opening up this week.
Soon this very intense and toxic Election season will end.
But then we face a whole new chapter of human life here in the United States, which will affect the whole world.
If Hilary Clinton is elected the system we are used to will continue, though be definitely different from Barack Obama’s government and world.
Scorpio Hilary Clinton will tend to be much more confrontational than Leo President Obama.
Gemini Donald Trump will tend to break down our feelings of well being, and be much more unpredictable than President Obama. You never know which Gemini twin will appear.
Either way, in the short term darker days are coming to America. Nevertheless there is no stopping our transformation out of an old world and paradigm, as we move closer and closer to the Age of Aquarius.
In your own life do not let the world’s negativity affect your consciousness for long, or let it take you off your spiritual path.
If you need to turn off the TV or stop reading the political pages, do it.
Keeping up your meditation, and being with positive and supportive people will help you alot.
Letting go of old patterns of self deprecation or old patterns of self defeat will help.
Letting go of or spending less time with people who invalidate you will help.
Transformation and change have been accelerating over the last couple of years and time seems to be speeding by.
Therefore realize that all your recent challenges or difficulites are meaningful and meant to help you to release that which keeps you stuck and held in old patterns and belief systems.
Everything that has come into your life is preparing you for entering into a life that is more authentically aligned with your True Self; more connected to your deeper soul and its natural spiritual journey; more deeply connected to our sacred Earth and meaningful Universe; more sensitive to the varied ways of life of our human family; more aligned with the deeper Soul Source that connects All; and more awake to the reality that Truth and Love are the twin pillars of strength that govern our Universe.
