Last week we moved through our first eclipse of this Eclipse Season, a Solar Eclipse New Moon in Virgo. And then a few days afterward we experienced the beginning of a new Mercury Retrograde period.
A huge 8.3 Earthquake in Chile happened during that week. I would not be surprised if more were on the way soon considering the deep power of this Eclipse Season.
We are in new energy zones now and this week the intensity increases with a second quarter Moon in Sagittarius; Autumn Equinox; and Pluto going Direct just a few days before the important Total Lunar Eclipse Full Blood Moon in Aries early next week.
The second quarter of the Solar Eclipse New Moon’s lunar cycle begins on Monday September 21, with the Moon in Sagittarius.
A second quarter moon usually picks up the pace in the lunar cycle, as we move inexorably forward toward the Total Lunar Eclipse Full Blood Moon in Aries on Sunday September 27.
Before that Lunar Eclipse, there is an important annual turning point event, the Autumn Equinox on Wednesday September 23 at 4:21 AM EDT.
Autumn Equinox always begins as the Sun moves into Libra. Those Libran scales are evenly balanced between dark and light minutes of the day on Autumn Equinox; but right afterwards the dark minutes begin to increase. They will continue to increase until Winter Solstice when darkness will be at its zenith.
You can metaphorically view the Autumn Equinox like a sunset time of year, as Spring Equinox is like a Sun rising time of year.
As the darkness begins to set in at Autumn Equinox, our hearts and souls begin to soften and open up to relationship and artistic beauty. These are Libra traits that are evident during the beginning month of Autumn.
As we begin to move more yin-ward with the increasing dark minutes of the day, we feel a pull to be more attentive to social values instead of more self assertive values.
Self assertive pursuits are more organic in the first month of spring when Aries is the ruling sign.
So now we begin to lean into cooler and darker days, but ever so slowly, as we take our time as we experience the loveliness of early Autumn.
In contrast, overnight September 24/25, darkly intense Pluto goes from Retrograde to Direct. As it changes directions, its power of transformation enters our collective energy field.
The intensity level will increase as we feel our passion increasing. Sometimes that means we are more apt to get into arguments with others, and if so be careful not to say things you might regret later.
Other times, however, Pluto can help us to express what we have been suppressing, so we can then work out issues that have blocking out our authentic “voice”. At the same time there may be a catharsis in the interaction and a clearing the air.
Afterwards there is a feeling of renewal, like after an orgasm. Pluto is the ruling planet of Scorpio and so passions of all sorts including sexual are normal at such times of Pluto changing directions.
And this increase of intensity is a bridge into the power of the Total Lunar Eclipse new Moon in Aries.
That Total Lunar Eclipse is the 4th Lunar Eclipse in a row that is total eclipse, also called a Blood Moon.
And every one of these Blood Moons has occurred on a Jewish holiday, showing us the potentiality of a sign pointing to important world events involving Israel now.
The fight right now over the Jewish Temple Mount, which is the Muslim Al Aqsa, has been getting heavier and is a potential place for great conflict, as this area has been considered holy by Christians, Muslims and Jews.
Also as we move through the shifts this week and next, look closely at the stock markets and global economy. They are on the verge of great transformation, and signs of great changes that are on the way are being shown now.
Out world is in the process of great change, as our old paradigm for living is changing more and more every day. Old borders between countries, and power balances are changing more and more every day.
This is a great time, as everything is shifting, to open up to the gateway and portal into our new world.
As you clear out blocks and let go of old dysfunctional patterns and toxic energies, you are opening up more to Source and Universe. From there you will receive more synchronicities and meaningful symbols showing you the way. This portal has great doses of Truth helping you to be more awake.
This gateway also has more love and meaning pouring through, changing the tone and glow of everyone and everything in your life.
We are being taken out of our old comfort zones during this Eclipse Season, which may not have been truly that comfortable for you.
As you are being taken off your usual balance, that brings in both difficult and enjoyable elements into your consciousness and life.
You will naturally experience breakdowns of that which is not right for you anymore and breakthroughs into new realms of experience.
Do not hold on too tightly to that which is ready to go. Stop your self from being too attached and all will happen more gracefully.
It is true that change can be stressful, whether considered positive or negative,so do your best to keep centered and seeing all as happening for a reason.
Remember that Mercury is Retrograde now too, so do not try too hard to figure it all out intellectually or analytically. Let the process unfold now instead of needing answers now.
Allow your reflective, imaginative, and intuitive mind and heart to be of more influence now.
And realize that also there may be some rewinding into the past too now, so you can reintegrate people, ideas, old parts of self back into your consciousness.
And please with all the shifting and changing and Mercury Retrograde, be careful not to jump to any conclusions or make hasty decisions.
The Eclipse Intensity will slowly subside after the Total Eclipse and Mercury will stay retrograde until October 9.
This Lunar Eclipse Full Moon on Sunday September 27 will be at 10:51 PM EDT. It will have the Sun in Libra and the Moon in Aries.
This will push us into finding a proper balance between peace and conflict; between being true to self or true to someone else or a relationship; taking action or letting things go; and being assertive or being accommodating.
In the greater world “war or peace” will be a likely major theme to be worked out.
I am posting this while in Southern France. We are there on a pilgrimage to the places Mary Magdalene was said to have walked, and to experience the energies of the Cathars, who were wiped out in genocide in the 13th century during the Inquisition.
