We are now firmly in the last quarter of the lunar cycle, experiencing a darkening Moon prior to the rebirth at the Sagittarius New Moon on December 11.
Before that fiery new moon next Friday, as we first experience the darkening last quarter Moon- we are most aligned doing cleanup work, releasing, healing, completing, and finding closure.
To assist us on our healing and releasing journey, Mars will be squaring Pluto early this week.
This very intense aspect symbolizes deeply powerful and perhaps explosive energies building up beneath the surface. The Moon in Scorpio most of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday adds to the deeply powerful feelings. Plus Venus has just entered Scorpio, where it will stay until December 30.
At the least we will be contacting feelings and emotions deep inside of us, feelings that may sometimes be difficult.
These feelings coming up for us represent that which has not been fully dealt with yet, not been fully expressed or released.
We may need to feel our pain again or to grieve some more for times gone by, or for people or pets no longer with us or no longer connected in our hearts.
We may even need to express emotions to someone else, in order to say our piece to them, to empower our selves, to hold them accountable, or to clear the air.
This process will hopefully help you to put some issues behind you, to release toxic energies, to find completion, and to get ready for the new beginnings at the strong New Moon in Sagittarius on December 11 at 5:29 AM EST.
So this will be for many a very transformational week, the first part facing some shadows or inner demons; and the last part being thrust forward into a rebirth or at least new beginnings.
The Mars square Pluto aspect on Sunday triggers the Uranus/Pluto square, which is still in effect. This Uranus/Pluto square, which has been in effect since 2011, is an important part of the powerful changes we are seeing in the world and inside ourselves.
Uranus and Pluto are two of the three transformational planets, Neptune being the other one.
These three planets are cosmic ambassadors for the New Age in Aquarius.
All three are relatively recent discoveries: Uranus in 1781, Neptune in 1846, and Pluto in 1930.
They are instrumental in bringing us the consciousness needed to pass through the transition between ages.
After Mars squares Pluto this Sunday, later this week just before the New Moon- Mars will be in opposition to Uranus, again triggering the Uranus/Pluto square. This Mars opposite Uranus aspect, along with the New Moon in Sagittarius, represents breakthrough liberation and new beginnings.
Mars opposition Uranus carries the energy to help us get unstuck, of being lifted outside of any boxes in our minds or lives, and being liberated from that which has previoiusly kept us held back.
It synchronizes perfectly with the New Moon in Sagittarius.
Sagittarius brings an upwardly pointed energy, seeking spirit and higher meaning. It can bring with it inspiration and excitement, upliftment and adventure.
It is a most fiery sign, high minded and joyful. It is intuitive and sometimes impulsive. That can mean not looking before one leaps off a cliff of some new adventure.
It also represents the tendency sometimes to say things without filter, to be quite genuine but not always aware of how it is affecting a situation or others.
In the greater world, powerful events will likely continue.
If they happen early in the week they are more about releasing powerful energies that have been building beneath the surface- in nature that may be storms or earthquakes. In emotions it is about pent up emotions being released.
Later in the week, closer to the New Moon in Sagittarius, events will likely have themes more about breaking away and being liberated. Or they can be about losing control or feeling free to “take the leap”.
Sagittarius can be like the Fool in Tarot. It will leap off the cliff, with faith as its guiding force.
Sagittarius is also about finding clearer answers or greater meaning, so if you make intention around the New Moon for more clarity, direction, or solution you will have a better chance of finding it then.
So at and after the New Moon in Sagittarius, it is time to get going forward after having gone through a lengthy time of processing, releasing, healing, and feeling so deeply.
This is an important new moon. You are being freed up to enter a new season of your life, less controlled by your ego, and riding more on your Higher Self’s destiny.
Yes Rome is burning all around us now. The old world is dying a very painful death. Please do not get all involved with fear and rage toward the Islamic State or anything else. If it wasn’t Islamic State it would be something else reminding us of the demons from our past buried deep in humanity’s collective unconscious.
It is time to release the old paradigm of “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth” revengeful rage. It is time to release the need to always have an enemy to destroy, as enemies are projections of our own inner demons.
“My people are better than your people and enemies of your people” is an old ego story needing to die. My country, my religion, my people are different than yours but no better or worse. It is my way, not the best way for everyone.
Diversity within Unity is the Age of Aquarius. Get on the ride.
