Next week on January 2, I will do a forecast for 2016, including the Presidential primaries and election.
For this coming week, which includes the last week of 2015 and the first day of 2016, there is not much planetary action.
We will still feel the effects of the Cancer Full Moon the weekend of December 26/27. Then we move through the waning half of the lunar cycle that began at the Sagittarius New Moon on December 11.
At the New Moon in Capricorn on January 9, that lunar cycle willl end as the new one begins.
But for this week the Moon’s light begins to slowly fade away as the year 2015 fades away too.
Interesingly, the rare occurence of all the planets being Direct is now in effect since Uranus went Direct on December 25.
We have a very short window of all Direct planets, as Mercury goes Retrograde on January 5 and Jupiter goes Retrograde on January 7.
We have a mere 11 days of all Direct planets.
So you can use this time to get really clear about your self and your life. You can feel more confident in your ability to transform and change your self and your life in a positive manner.
This all bodes well for this transition time between years.
But we are also in the waning half of the lunar cycle, at the end of the year, and many taking time off from work.
So the slowdown precludes much action forward being taken, but with the Sun in Capricorn now, we can get really clear about what intentions and resolutions we want to make for the New Year 2016.
You can know more than usual for this time of year, as the planets are all direct, what course is right for you and how you can get there.
Venus moves out of deeply instinctual Scorpio and into Sagittarius on Wednesday December 30. So your heart can help you to find more inspiration from others through conversation, books, movies, etc.
You can also begin (Venus stays in Sagittarius until January 23.) to expand your relationship efforts to repair and heal.
It should be somewhat easier, while Venus is in Sagittarius, to see the bigger picture of relationship, and to be motivated to make relationship improvements.
2014 and 2015 have been especially powerful transformational years.
Our world is going through great growing pains, and most people find it difficult to see where we are all going.
It seems so apparent to me that the old conventional world is breaking apart, especially so as people seem tired of the old ways that are no longer working for them.
Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders both represent a breaking down of old ways. Trump has little respect for the American political system and little tolerance for, in his opinion, politically correct ways of being. And Sanders wants to greatly transform the economic system into one more equitable for all peoples.
Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner is a potent symbol of old gender roles and identities being more blurred than ever. This phenomenon is happening all over America. More and more people are questioning and experimenting with sexual orientations.
So called minorities in America will be the majority of peoples in 20-30 years, totally transforming our country. Europe also is becoming more multicultural, and other countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia are beginning to open the doors for liberation for females.
Global Climate Change is being taken more seriously in our world which will change how we live our lives, build our homes and drive our vehicles.
The internet and computer revolution is putting out newer gadgets and electronic equipment that will further transform our lives.
The Middle East shows us great transformation of national, cultural, and religious paradigms- as Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, and Islamic State are shifting national identities and cultural realities.
China and Russia are flexing their national and cultural muscles greatly, and further threaten the old power structures and paradigm.
Though some of these changes may be extremely difficult to see in a positive light, they are all part of the deep and vast changes we are moving through as we transition between ages and paradigms.
Just as in personal transformation, sometimes one’s outlook during the transformational process is dark, foreboding, and painful.
As one wakes up to new ways of seeing and acting, and as one releases the old ways of being; one then moves toward more light at the end of the tunnel in the transformational process.
So do your best not to fret too much or to get too much into fear or cynicism.
Much of the ugly stuff we are seeing now is temporary, as we cleanse our human condition in preparation for greater healing and an Age of Aquarius.
I saw a documentary recently about Viking invasions of England 1300 years ago. There were brutal and ruthless rapes, beheadings, stolen lands, and killings. There were no modern conveniences and little true freedom and individual choices. The Christian Crusades were also quite filled with horror.
Civilization in many ways has improved greatly since then. Actually, on the contrary, it is arguable that in many ways we have become too civilized, too emotionless, too immersed in personal mental and electronic bubbles.
We are now at a true turning point in human affairs. And as such we are hopefully questioning most everything, so we keep that which is right for our new world, let go of that which is no longer aligned, and create our new world together.
Nothing can hold back the tides of change that have been moving through our world. But we have choice as to the quality of that change as we re-imagine, re-think, and steer our hearts in new directions.
