Powerful April, with its very important and intense planetary movements, is in our rear view mirror now. For many it has been replaced by a kind of let down, feeling perhaps deflated after all the excitement.
Though the Cardinal Grand Cross is still in effect, the strong energetic buzz has left, the center of the storm has passed.
Many are still trying to make sense of what happened in their lives the last couple of months, trying to gain clarity and find direction.
Keep in mind that Mars is still retrograde. Focused, active, forward movement is still limited. Mars goes back Direct on May 19. It has been retrograde since March 1.
So whatever was shaken up in your life in March/April is still settling in, and there is still time for you to ponder, reflect, and make sense of your life.
Mars retrograde suggests you may still not know what you truly want, where you want to go with your life. And since Mars is in Libra, a sign that tends to weigh both sides of an issue, that adds to the potential indecision.
And Mars will stay in Libra until July 25, which means that even after Mars goes back Direct on May 19, and even after Mars triggers the Grand Cross in mid June, you may still be hanging back from total immersion in the new chapter of your life.
That does not mean you will need to wait that long to begin to see some light at the end of your personal tunnels. Yet since Mars will be in Libra till July 25, and since Mercury will be retrograde from June 6- July 1; it is best to not put too much pressure on your self to have it all together and to know exactly what needs to be done and where your life is going.
In the greater world, much is shifting at a very deep level. The United States’ natal Sun/Saturn square was activated off by the Grand Cross, and that same spot in the zodiac will be triggered again by the eclipses in the Autumn 2014 and Spring 2015. And the Uranus/Pluto square will be joined by other planets again to also trigger that same spot in the zodiac that holds the USA Sun/Saturn square.
The balance of power is shifting in the world. The eastern half of our globe contains cultures and countries that have experimented with more socialistic ideals of spreading the wealth with more equanimity. And Pope Francis has also recently spoken out about creating a world that is financially more fair for all of us.
I do not believe we will build a totally socialistic world, but I do believe that as our world becomes more integrated and whole, we will find ways to bridge eastern and western values.
Some capitalism helps to motivate people to do their best with life accomplishments. And some socialism helps to keep controls over desires for greed and power, and will take care of more people in the world.
After all the dust from coming conflicts settles, we will have the best of both worlds. We will have more of a sense of unity, empathy and knowing we are all one family on the Earth, while at the same time honoring the authentic individuality of each member, each culture, each spiritual and sexual orientation, each individual way of life.
We will therefore have developed an Age of Aquarius, one of Diversity in Unity. I believe the 2020’s will show us the mold has formed for this New Age.
There will still be much to work out after that, but the Sun will have come up, so to speak, for this New World and Paradigm.
To get there, there can be no more Empires running the world. Rome was the first at the beginning of the Pisces Age that is coming to a close. And the Soviet Union and America are the last.
Those two recent empires represent on deeper levels an energetic desire to one day merge individualism with collectivism.
That day will come relatively soon, but not before a huge primal conflict between cultures blows up and brings an eventual catharsis and humbling. A mass show of extraterrestrial visitation may also play a huge part in the transformation.
Then we will acknowledge our common humanity and build a new world as a result.
I suspect that the next 12-18 months will bring the most profound and most intense phase of the shift and transition into this new paradigm and age. The world will change is ways we have not seen during our lifetimes so far.
And each of our individual lives is shifting in alignment with this greater shift. The deepest work for each of us is to learn to accept and honor our own and others’ distinct and authentic individuality, while at the same time learning more empathy and compassion for ourselves and one another.
And in the process we are learning we are all one family on our sacred Earth, and living in a meaningful Universe, with all the dots connected, and governed by universal laws like Love and Truth.
To get there in our consciousness, each of us needs to shed the blankets of programming we have received from our families and cultures that keep us attached to dying values from a dying age.
This coming week May 11- May 17 is highlighted by increased intensity mid week from a Scorpio Full Moon and Venus in Aries activating the Grand Cross.
The Full Moon in Taurus/Scorpio is on May 14, 2014 at 3:16 PM EDT. It is commonly called the Wesak Full Moon every year and many celebrate the Buddha’s birth then.
Finding calm and centeredness while facing life’s difficulties or intensities is a theme for this Full Moon.
And there should be greater intensity mid week with that Full Moon, but also from Venus triggering the 13 degrees of Cardinal signs from the exact Grand Cross of April 20-23.
Issues may be stirred up again, or at least there may be a feeling of climax or some signs of resolution from recent shifts and changes. Resist the energetic draw for power struggles or “tugs-of war” this week, and instead find a way to let your inner spiritual observer keep the calm.
