We wrote a lot about the summer aspects of 2010: The Grand Cross Lunar Eclipse, the Cardinal T-Square, Saturn square Pluto. Much shifted, and was shaken up in personal lives and in the greater world surrounding these aspects. Many have faced personal crises that have brought them to the edge emotionally and spiritually, and has forced them to look at their lives outside the usual boxes of previous thought.
They want to move on in their lives in new ways, transformed ways. They want their lives to be more purposeful. They want love, not fear to lead the way. They want to not be controlled by how they were brought up, how they were programmed by family and society to be. They want to be in touch with their authentic Soul life path, and shed that which does fit that sacred journey.
Whenever we are influenced by important astrological aspects, as many were this past summer, we have the opportunity to shed those old skins of deadened lives, and to have a rebirth into new chapters of our lives.
The recent aspects this past summer were mainly in cardinal signs, which signifies to us, as cardinal signs represent new seasons, that we are entering a New Season for humanity on Earth. This new season brings us closer to a new Aquarian Age, a new 2,160 year cycle. I estimate this new age to symbolically begin late in 2020 when Jupiter conjuncts Saturn at 0+ degrees of Aquarius. The ensuing 20 years of that Jupiter/Saturn cycle begun in 2020 will be the time of the ushering in of the Aquarian Age.
We have many intensely transformational years ahead, times when you can get “unstuck” from confining attitudes and beliefs, relationships, jobs, and living situations. These opportunities are the gifts of the crises, sometimes difficult to see when we are in the throes of fear or even despair.
In the greater world, the summer aspects of 2010 have not yet been triggered to provide the full extent of change coming our way. In personal lives or in the lives of nations, the more “defended” one is, the more difficult it is for the Universe to break down the armors of protection. But the breakdowns are inevitable. Like the Tower card in the tarot, events will eventually erupt to crash down the fortress of protection.
In September of 2001, the USA had its twin towers attacked and brought down. Since this was the World Trade Center, symbolically the economic fortress of the USA and world economy was broken down. In June of 2001 I wrote an article called The Tower, where I stated that in the summer of 2001 the USA and western civilization would face a severe threat to its power in the world. Aspects from earlier in the summer of 2001 were triggered in September of 2001. There was a solar eclipse on the summer solstice at 1 degrees of Cancer. By opposing that position at 1 degree of Capricorn a couple days before 9-11, Mars triggered that summer solstice eclipse.
Other astrological events, close to the date of the tragedy, triggered positions in the USA natal chart, which contibuted to the timing of the attack.
There are potential triggers to the astrological aspects of the summer of 2010- this autumn and early winter. It will be especially important to watch world events that will affect the USA from late October to mid November, and then from December 5, 2010 to January 19 2011.
That latter period, after December 5, will be under the influence of new eclipses. One is especially potent, reminding me of the one on the summer solstice of 2001, as this one is on the winter solstice of 2010. The next eclipse after that on January 4, 2011, will be closely opposed to the USA natal Sun from its birthchart of July 4, 1776. At that time Saturn will be square to the eclipse and to the USA natal Sun. The USA will be then in the throes of experiencing its 8th Saturn return.
Something very big is coming to the shores of our country- a big event(s). It could be another severe downturn of the economy, another big attack, or something we cannot envision yet.
Keep in mind that the USA is also in transition into an Aquarian Age. It will be shedding its ego as a world superpower, and finding its true authentic purpose in an Aquarian Age, an age of equality and diversity in unity. Since the USA is the first true experiment of diversity in unity, as a country made of immigrants from all over the world, we can potentially give much to the new Aquarian Age- as an equal member of the world community.
Powerful events coming our way, as challenging as they may be, will open the doors to our deeper American soul, and give us new purpose and passion.
Venus Retrograde
We have entered the beginning stages of Venus Retrograde this year 2010. Venus went retrograde on October 8, a day after the New Moon- in relationship oriented Libra. It stays retograde until November 18. It comes back full circle- to where it began- on December 20. It is time to enter the “relationship” zone, to move beyond personal gain being the top priority of your life. Many have already been facing relationship crisis on the way into the Venus Retrograde period. The retrograde period will help people to get to the core of their relationship issues.
Many are being pushed to look deeply at their relationships, whether romantic, family, friend, or work related relationship. Some will come to the conclusion that the relationship must end, or at least change its current form. Old dysfunctional and unhealthy patterns can sometimes be changed and transformed during Venus in Retrograde. Romantic relationships can become merely friendships and friendships may become romantic. People from the past may reappear in the flesh or in dreams or memories- to help us more deeply understand the relationships and relationship patterns we are currently experiencing.
Do your best not to jump to conclusions too rapidly, and instead let the process unfold. You may not get ultimate clarity until after Venus goes direct or even after it has gone full circle after December 20.
