We are moving through the last days of Libra this week and getting ready for the Sun to move into Scorpio this coming Friday, October 23.
We are on a kind of plateau now, assessing and still processing from all the tumult from the recent Eclipse Season.
New and powerful energies stormed through an open Portal during Eclipse Season.
It may be difficult now to know where we stand. The past has been uprooted, but its familiarity still holds our attention and may make us nostalgic for the good old days. But maybe those days were not really so good.
And with the Portal’s streaming of new energies that have not been fully processed, we may not know exactly where we are going or maybe not even knowing who we are now.
But if you are not too anxious to push your self forward, you may gain some real benefits from the current time period.
This Libra time period brings us much beauty in nature now, with fall colors glowing in the Sun’s rays much of the time here in the Northern Hemisphere.
Libra also brings balance and some peace, much needed since the recent energetic storms in our lives.
But of course that balance and peace can feel boring to some who are ready to burst forward with more passion in their lives.
And for better and worse Scorpio energies will bring forth more passions soon.
Right now besides the Libra placements of the Sun and Mercury, we are also experiencing a lot of Virgo planetary movements. Venus, Mars, and Jupiter are all in Virgo- putting much influence on physical details and desires to “get it just right”.
Making things more simple and being more humble are virtues of Virgo. Being of service to others instead of one’s ego is another virue of Virgo.
There may also be much need to analyze things to death, and to get rather obsessed with certain thoughts and agendas.
Do your best to not worry too much now or get too anxious. Meditation, music, and nature are great antidotes to anxiety and worry.
Yes it can be rather easy to get depressed now, especially as we see darker days and feel colder temperatures; but look at the bigger picture too.
You are truly now in a new chapter of your life. Perhaps it is not totally known what that chapter will be like or what it will bring, but you can know that whatever is on its way (both personally and globally) is what is needed to help us to evolve and adjust to the New World that is bursting at the seams of life to manifest itself.
In the political arena we can see the old ways fighting to hold on through certain candidates. And we can see the New Age wanting to show itself through other candidates.
Bernie Sanders holds some of what the Age of Aquarius will demand of us. He speaks to greater equality for all, a transformed economic system that does not continue power and privilege to the few while so many others struggle to survive.
And his Sun in Virgo self was humble and without ego in defending Hillary Clinton from much scrutiny in her email controversy at the debate this last week.
The old economic system is not working anymore, as I see so many families where both parents need to work to make ends meet, and even then they still struggle to have satisfying lives that are meaningful to them. Kids cannot afford college and medical costs are outrageous.
The children have largely inherited a society where materialism and mundane concerns are so highly valued, and where higher and deeper values are sometimes difficult to find in the mainstream.
Movies and TV shows are largely dark, or blatently sexual or violent. Spiritual values, values of human decency, integrity, kindness, and genuine caring are not as easy to find in the mainstream of society.
Look at the political process. Billions and Billions of dollars are spent to promote candidates, largely used to create an advertiser’s polished image of a candidate or to demonize an opponent.
Media is corporate owned and either is biased to certain candidates or promotes those who will bring in more viewers and advertising revenues to the station.
The news mainly is about the “horse race” of the elections, winning and losing and polls. So little news now is about issues that we need to address in order to make our world better, or even news that makes us think, question, or challenge the current prevailing viewpoints or paradigm.
We are fortunate however, to have the internet and social media, as they give us alternative viewpoints and news that cannot be found on mainstream media.
The pleasant plateau of Libra will begin to crack as the Sun moves into Scorpio this Friday at 1:47 PM EDT. Passions will begin to simmer, getting ready to explode after November 11 at the New Moon in Scorpio.
After that the conflicts in the Middle East and the global economy will be sparked into more intensity, change and transformation.
In our personal lives there will be more passion rising after the Sun goes into Scorpio this coming Friday. And then after the New Moon in Scorpio on November 11, it will be time to speak your Truth, to go after that which gives you passion, to get in better touch with your primal self, the self that gives you the gut instinct on what is right and wrong for you, and what people feel right to you and what people feel wrong for you.
Scorpio is a “black or white” sign, not so connected to the nuances, subtleties and gray areas of issues. It has “rulership” of our third eye’s ability to delve deeply into Truth, and to see the deeper motivations of others.
As the Sun moves into Scorpio this Friday the 23rd, allow yourself to deepen your experience, to sink into your deeper soul and your body.
Pluto is the “ruler” of Scorpio and the Guardian of the Underworld. It seeks to take us deeper than superficial outer appearances, and to bring us to what is “real”. It takes us into the Dark Mother, the part of the Mother that knows suffering and pain, and wants to hold us closely to her breast and to comfort us during our dark nights of the soul.
As is true for Scorpio and Pluto, often after the dark night there is a renewal and even a feeling of rebirth back into the light.
Transformation occurs as old patterns and energies are released and a new day dawns.
We await the world’s transformation.
