This week we enter the darkening last quarter of the lunar cycle and the last week of Mercury Retrograde.
The actual beginning of the last quarter Moon happens in Capricorn early morning of Sunday April 8. It signifies Capricorn waiting patience holding back the new beginning of Aries.
This whole week shows nighttime energy, a symbol of the power of the Feminine.
The Black Panther has been showing itself to me just before my writing this blog today.
She is a symbol of the Dark Feminine, of Mystery, and she is strongest right at a New Moon, as that is the darkest time of the lunar cycle, right before the dawn of the Moon’s crescent light.
The Black Panther therefore represents death and rebirth, which happens as we transition from last quarter Moon to the New Moon in Aries on April 15. At that moment of transition, all is unknown and a mystery- no more past and a future not yet known.
We have been letting you know the importance of that New Moon in Aries, which happens to be closely conjunct the awakening lightning of Uranus. It will also be square the deeply transformational Pluto, which we will write more about next week.
So this week, before that New Moon, allow your self to go deeper into your own inner night, so you can release as much psychological baggage as possible. If you are confronted by your past, especially your old stories from the past, do not be afraid it is back in your life again.
It is showing up so you can see it another time before it is purged from the deep well inside your soul.
You no longer need to hold onto old demons or old ego stories that keep you chained to the past.
This is a big and important New Moon in Aries, on the same day as Mercury goes Direct. So lightening your load of old garbage will make you more able to enter your New Chapter without undue restrictions.
During this Mercury Retrograde, have old friends or lovers come back to you in dreams or waking flashes of memory or even back in physical reality?
If so they are to remind you of that which has helped to create an old story or a continuing dysfunctional pattern you no longer need carry.
And they also may represent a part of your self you have abandoned that now needs to be re-membered in your soul and psyche.
The dark passage of the Black Panther is shown also by a Sun square Pluto aspect midweek.
The Sun is challenged then by “guardian of underworld” Pluto, darkening the light of the Sun. Black Panther has also been represented in myth as that which swallow the light of a Solar Eclipse, which is always part of a New Moon.
On Saturday the 14th, a day before the Aries New Moon, bright inspirational Jupiter is in sextile aspect to the same darkening Pluto.
This sextile forms a Yod or “Finger of God” with the USA natal Mars in Gemini. That Mars in Gemini forms a very close conjunction with Trump’s natal Sun and opposite his natal Moon in Sagittarius.
the Yod forming with the USA Mars symbolizes an important turning point for USA military and police business. And of course Trump with his natal chart is an important player in this turning point.
It is quite revealing that there are important events less than a month after the New Moon in Aries.
There is a summit between North and South Korean presidents in late April and a potential summit between Trump and Kim Jong Un in May. This meeting will bring peace or war to the world
Also in early May the USA and Trump decide whether to continue with the deal struck by President Obama with Iran. If sanctions on Iran are brought back, that will nullify the Iran deal with the USA and bring increased danger in the Middle East. If the deal is kept peace will likely stay intact.
And also in mid May the USA is scheduled to move their embassy to Jerusalem after the recent declaration by president Trump that Jerusalemsy is the eternal Capitol of Israel.
The Palestinians and Muslim world see Jerusalem as their sacred city and claim the eastern half as their Capitol.
So you can see how putting the USA embassy there is a potentially triggering event, one that could bring renewed violence to the region. If Trump turns around and does not build the embassy, there will be a big shift away from war.
So it is easy to see how the Yod represents an important military turning point for the USA.
There are important new beginnings happening one way or another soon after the Yod and New Moon in Aries.
And this is true for your own life too, most especially if you have natal planets in late Aries. If so these new beginning will be very important ones for you.
Yet for everyone, we are at a point of “ready or not here we come”, as used to be yelled during childhood “hide and seek” games, signifying when there was no more time to try to find a place to hide.
And we will also not be able to hide in the slumber of winter rest anymore It will be time to wake up at the Aries New Moon, especially so as awakening Uranus is an integral part of that New Moon structure.
And as Mercury will also be going Direct that day, the recent sleep will be beginning to lift from our eyes, in order to soon see what is happening and what direction to move toward.
Just as the aforementioned world events do not come until a month or so after the New Moon in Aries and Mercury Direct, you also can expect there to be some time before real clarity, direction, inspiration and/or important personal events are formed.
Best to see the New Moon/Mercury Direct time as an energetic turning point into the action of your new beginnings.. Be present to feel that energetic shift in the days surrounding the event.
Keep in mind however that this week is the week leading up to the New Moon in Aries and Mercury Direct, not the week it happens.
The light and energies are dimming this week, so you can be more immersed in your own inner consciousness.
The Moon (an important symbol of the Black Panther) will be darkening more and more each day this week. And when it is totally dark before and during the New Moon in Aries, it is a perfect time to meditate, to make intention, to pray, to use visualization as a tool to co-create with the Universe.
This week shows the Black Panther getting stronger and stronger. It is interesting how the movie Black Panther is so popular in our culture now.
And synchronistically the issue of killing unarmed Black men by police has been recently triggered by the shooting of an unarmed Black man in Sacramento California.
Black Panther also represents the moment between death and life, a true time of transformation.
And the turning point at the New Moon in Aries with Mercury Direct on April 15 is the point between death of the old and birth of the new.
The Age of Aquarius is being born from the ashes of the Age of Pisces. And no matter which way we turn after the Finger of God points the way, we still will be getting closer to the Age of Aquarius.
The only question is whether the path ahead will be rugged or more graceful.
