A few weeks ago we wrote of a perfect storm brewing, one that would open a huge transformational doorway for us all in 2012. That storm would likely be at its greatest intensity during the eclipse season this coming spring of 2012. We let you know that a war with Iran and a big challenge with the economy would be in the center of the storm.
Well now the intensity around Iran is already beginning to build. USA defense secretary Leon Panetta this week was quoted in the Washington Post as saying it was getting likely that Israel would attack Iran in April, May, or June. That is exactly within the eclipse season. Israel and Iran have this last week been sabre rattling with one another and the temperature for conflict has risen appreciably.
At the same time however, the outlook on the economy has gotten apparently brighter. Statistics say there are more jobs and the unemployment rate went down to 8.3 for January. That is far below what had gone, not too long ago, to an over 10% unemployment rate. It is still quite possible, however, for there to be big surprises, especially centered in Europe, to shake up our economic stability.
What is pertinent is that this coming eclipse season will shake up our world in a big way. Events will ensue that will change all of our lives, and motivate us to accelerate our soul journeys of healing and transformation. Plato is quoted as saying that “necessity is the mother of invention”, and our creative juices will be stimulated by the coming events that will surround us.
There is so much we need to do to alter the direction we have been moving in as a human family here on the Earth. We need to bring our human condition and the Earth into greater wholeness, unity and health. We need the world to be governed by love, truth, fairness, compassion, and justice. We need to give higher priority and recognition to heart and soul values, to teach our children about how all of life is connected, sacred and meaningful. Our Earth needs not to be so used for human greed and selfishness, and more to be honored and to be in loving relationship with.
All of these changes need to be made as a foundation for our building a world aligned with the Aquarian Age.
Perhaps this war can averted as collective humanity and its leaders wake up to recognize we need to make community with one another instead of dominating one another. Perhaps we can avoid an economic crash, and begin to transform the world by realizing an economic system needs to serve all the people, not just the ones who can play Monopoly well.
Perhaps there will be divine intervention to help us, or perhaps our prayers can have a powerful effect to change the direction we seem to be moving in. But right now the storm looks like it is coming in as expected.
I do feel, no matter which way the wind blows this spring equinox season, we are being primed now in this winter season to be ready to move powerfully forward come spring and all through the rest of 2012.
Our consciousnesses and bodies and lives have shifted over the last few months, getting us ready for the challenges just ahead of us. As we passed Imbolc this last week, we look more toward the light now, and let go of the fears that have seeped in over the winter. Those fears have brought some dark nights for some, but it is time to begin to let them go now, to release them another level.
This week we move up toward a Full Moon in Leo on Tuesday February 7th, at 4:54 PM EST. This Full Moon highlights personal needs for creative expression and attention (Leo), and needs to connect to a greater social community or social consciousness (Aquarius). Leo is central authority and Aquarius is decentralized networks like the internet. Leo is heart shining in royal pride and Aquarius is equality in diversity. Leo is the sun’s shine of smiling warmth and energy, and Aquarius is the human need for liberty of the individual to be self actualized.
Also this week on the 7th/8th Venus leaves Pisces and goes into Aries. Venus is the relationship planet, and in Pisces she leans toward selflessness, empathy and compassion. After moving into Aries, we need to be more empowered in relationship, more true to our self. It is time to assert your self and speak frankly your truth. If you have been extra lenient or permissive with people during Venus in Pisces, after the 7th it is time to be more bold and not let people take advantage of your good nature. Venus will stay in Aries until March 5.
Also on February 7, there is an important energetic shift, as Saturn stops and goes retrograde. Whenever a planet changes directions its energy and meaning permeates our psyches and lives.
Saturn is the hand of time, letting us know our choices are narrowing. It is time to be definite, to be responsible, to be more self disciplined. It is time to stop procrastinating and to “get it together”.
For some Saturn feels like a “downer”, serious and sober. It is a stern teacher, making us learn our lessons; it is karma telling us we will now reap what we have sown.
For others Saturn feels very grounding and safe from scattered or chaotic or over emotional energies. It is clear boundaries, organization, and accomplishment.
Saturn may feel heavy or difficult now, like something we cannot avoid, or the hand of fate. But it is meant to get us to pay attention to what is needed now.
Thus early this week is an energetic shift, with Full Moon, Venus going into Aries and Saturn changing directions. Together they tell us to shift into more outward attention, more concentration on making our lives work better. Even if we haven’t found resolution to what has been bothering us, we still need to get into gear.
