Relative to the high planetary intensity over the last 6 weeks or so, this coming week should be rather mild. Keep in mind, however, that the Aries New Moon of April 18 was the gateway to coming events connected to all the intensity of early spring. More powerful world events are on the way soon.
Last week, after the Aries New Moon, the dramatic world events were mostly connected to Mother Nature’s upheavals than human caused ones.
There was a volcano that had a huge eruption in Chile that affected the air quality as far away as Argentina.
And there was a 7.8 earthquake in Nepal that has killed over 1500 people so far.
It is not a disconnected coincidence that Earth Day was Wednesday, set in the early days of Sun in Taurus this year.
Taurus is a Fixed Earth sign, and so the volatility of the recent planetary movements has caused breakups of the Fixed Earth energies through volcanos and earthquakes.
We usually talk of the human dramas in relation to the transformational movements of the planets. We have written about the Middle East and China and the world economy for instance, and how we can expect big changes in those areas, changes that are helping to usher in a New Age of Aquarius.
But our relationship to our environment in connection to climate change is also important.
I certainly do not know for sure how much climate change (which is very real) is being exacerbated by human influence and how much it is going to happen with or without human influence.
I do know however that this changing of ages is not happening in a vacuum. The transformation of our world into an Age of Aquarius is happening holistically, on all levels- physically, emotionally, spiritually- to our human family directly and to the Earth home we all live on.
The natural disasters will continue this spring and autumn as a segment of the events that are meant to shake up our world and awaken us to new energies and light that are necessary for ushering in a New Age.
Some believe the Earth is angry at the human family and that natural disasters express that anger.
Others believe that the energetic shifts that are happening during this transitional time on Earth are what cause changes in consciousness, human lifestyles, the environment, and the grids and structures of the Earth.
I believe that our human family needs to conscientiously hold ourselves accountable for what we have been doing wrong; and to take more responsibility for the health and well being of our Earth, its environment and its creatures; and the human condition.
I do not believe, however, in an angry male God or mother Nature that punishes us for our transgressions; but I do believe in Karma (or you reap what you sow). And I do believe in the law of attraction, which simply means that I attract to myself that which resonates with my soul condition, and my beliefs and attitudes.
We are in transition now between worlds, ages, and paradigms. And so it is very important what we now do with our minds, souls, spirits, and bodies.
We are releasing the programming of an old paradigm and age, and letting go of the beliefs, attitudes, and life choices that result from that programming.
As we let go of the old, we open more and more to what we need to become in order to adapt to a changing world.
Adaptation is instrumental in evolution. And now that our human family is so close together through international commerce, mass transportation, and global communication; we need more than ever to evolve.
And now that so many cultures and countries have built or are developing weapons of mass destruction, we need more than ever to evolve.
And now that there is such intolerance and even hatred toward those from different races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, cultures, and lifestyles; we need more than ever to evolve.
And of course the changing of ages demands evolution to consciousness, beliefs, and lifestyles aligned with the Age of Aquarius we are moving into.
We must most importantly learn deep in our hearts, souls, and minds that we are one family of Earth beings. Yes we are each unique, but we share the same human needs and human desires and emotions. We need to relate to one another as equals with similar needs.
We are taught math, science, and language in school; but do we know how to make relationship with others, how to have empathy, how to understand those from other cultures and ways of being. Have we learned to seeks win-win relationships with others instead of winner take all?
Do we know how to understand that all humans are created equal and deserve to be free. Do we know that there is no need for some to be grossly rich while others starve? Do we know that none deserve privilege because of what family or circumstances they were born into?
Do we know that the Universe has enough love for all to partake in or that truth is available for those who want it. Do we know that fairness and justice is the way of the Universe?
Do we understand we humans block our own way to these Universal riches and that some God is not responsible for our lives, our happiness, our good and bad fortune or the state of the world.
The Age of Aquarius demands that we, through our connection to the spirit and soul of the Universe, are responsible for our selves, each other, the Earth, and our well being?
Do we know there is no one coming to save us or to hold for us the spiritual values that the world and our souls need?
We can each integrate the Christ consciousness of compassion and empathy. We can each integrate the peaceful and meditative heart and wisdom of Buddha consciousness.
“We are the ones we are searching for” and that is the foundation of a healthy Age of Aquarius.
This coming week we continue to ground our lives in the fixed Earth that Sun in Taurus signifies. Taurus knows that our bodies are the temples that hold our souls and spirits and that how we treat that body is so important. It knows that our Earth home and its beautiful nature provide us what we need if we show it the love, respect and attention it deserves.
A healthy body and healthy Earth are the foundation for a healthy life. Our bodies and the Earth body are to be enjoyed also.
Taurus rules the senses, so allow your self to be more present now with the sounds, sights, tastes, feels, and smells all around you.
You are now finding your bearings and sanity from all the recent changes. You are grounding into reality the recent surges of change recently.
Soon new waves of change will roll in, and many new world events are on the way.
But for now find as much peace and comfort as you can. Later on May 3 is a Full Moon in Scorpio, then soon after on May 21 comes the liveliness of Sun in Gemini
And May 18 will also bring the always unpredictable Mercury Retrograde.
